About Academics

The Academics module in FiN IMS Institute Management System is used to manage the entire class and teacher timetables. The workflow starts with adding Sections and Classes, then assigning Teachers, adding Subjects and Subject Groups. After this, you can create Class Timetables and Teacher Timetables, which students can access from their panel. Additionally, this module allows administrators to promote students to the next academic session.

How to Add Section?

Go to Academics > Sections, enter the Section Name, and click Save. The newly created section will appear in the Section List on the right side of the page.

  • To edit, click the Edit icon.

  • To delete, click the Delete icon.

How to Add Class?

Navigate to Academics > Class, enter the Class Name, select one or more Sections, and then click Save. The class will be displayed in the Class List on the right side of the page.

  • Use the Edit icon to modify.

  • Use the Delete icon to remove.

How to Assign Class Teacher?

Go to Academics > Assign Class Teacher, choose the Class and Section, then select the Teacher(s) to assign. You can assign single or multiple teachers to a class. Once saved, the records will appear in the Class Teacher List.

  • Click the Edit icon to update.

  • Click the Delete icon to remove.

How to Add Subjects?

Go to Academics > Subjects, enter the Subject Name, Subject Code, and select the Type (Theory/Practical), then click Save. The subject will appear in the Subject List.

  • Use Edit to modify.

  • Use Delete to remove.

How to Add Subject Group?

Navigate to Academics > Subject Group, enter the Group Name, choose the Class, Section, and Subjects, add a description if required, then click Save. The record will appear in the Subject Group List.

  • Use Edit to update.

  • Use Delete to remove.

How to Add Class Timetable?

Go to Academics > Class Timetable, click the Add button (top right corner), then select Class, Section, and Subject Group, and click Search. A 7-day layout will be displayed. You can add multiple entries quickly using the +Add New button and generate a timetable for each day.

How to View Teacher Timetable?

Go to Academics > Teacher Timetable, select the Teacher, and click Search. The selected teacher’s timetable will be visible to teachers and administrators.

How to Promote Students?

Navigate to Academics > Promote Student, select the Class and Section, then click Search. The list of students along with their Current Result (Pass/Fail) and Next Session Status (Continue/Leave) will be shown. Choose the Session, Class, and Section for promotion, then click Promote.

How Students Can View Class Timetable?

After logging into the Student Panel, go to the sidebar menu and click on Class Timetable. Students can then view their weekly class schedule.

How to Promote Students for the Next Session?

Go to Academics > Promote Students, select the Class and Section, and enter Promotion Details (Session, Class, Section). After clicking Search, the list of students will appear. Select the students to promote and then click the Promote button at the bottom right.
