How to use thermal print?

In FiNIMS, thermal printing is used for generating fee invoices quickly and efficiently. This technology does not require ink; instead, it works with heat-sensitive paper, ensuring low maintenance, cost-effectiveness, and high-speed printing—making it an excellent choice for managing school fee transactions.

How to Access Thermal Printer Settings:
Go to System Settings > Thermal Print. Once you click on it, the Thermal Print page will open.

Before using the thermal print feature, you need to complete its configuration:

  1. Enter your School Name – this will be shown at the top of the print.

  2. Provide the Complete School Address.

  3. (Optional) Add Footer Text if you want extra details to appear at the bottom of the print.

At the top of the page, you will find the Thermal Print Enabled/Disabled option. By enabling it, the fee receipts in FiNIMS will be generated using thermal printing. After making the changes, click the Save button at the bottom to apply your settings.

Note: When thermal print is enabled, make sure the page width is set to 3 inches for proper printing.

Now let see the print view of thermal print, Using Fees Collection module, if you require the fees receipt in thermal print, just go to the collect fees page here you will get the print option at the right side of the page

Note Currently thermal print are available for the Fees receipt and Online Course offline payment.

Now, click on print icon, Thermal print view will open.

From here, you can print as needed. All prints will be available in thermal print format. If you do not require thermal printing, simply disable the option in the settings, and you will receive the normal print format for the receipt.
