How to add Route Pickup Point?
In an Institute Management System, a route pickup point refers to the designated stops along the transport route where students are picked up and dropped off at school. These pickup points are decided and shared by the school, keeping in mind student safety, convenience, and the efficiency of the route. The locations may be updated from time to time depending on the requirements of the school and students.
To add a new Route Pickup Point, go to Transport > Route Pickup Point. Here you will see the list of existing route pickup points. To add another one, click on the +Add button available at the top-right corner. This will open the Add Route Pickup Point form.
In this form, first select the route that will be assigned or adjusted for the student. If you want to add multiple pickup points within the same route, click on the Add More button available in the middle-right section. This will open extra fields where you can set additional pickup points for that route.
Now choose the pickup point, which is the location where the bus or other transport will pick up the student. Enter the distance from the school to that pickup point, set the pickup time using the time picker, and add the monthly fee that will be charged for the route. Once all details are filled, click the Save button.
Click the OK button to confirm, and the pickup point for that route will be successfully removed.
After filling in all the details for a route pickup point and clicking Save, the record will appear in the Route Pickup Point List. Here, you can view the route, pickup point, monthly fees, distance, and pickup time you entered. In the Action column, you will also see icons for Reorder, Edit, and Delete to manage the entries.
Using the Reorder option, you can manage the sequence of pickup points on a route. Click on the Reorder icon, and the Order From School Location form will open. Here, you can drag and drop the rows or reset the pickup points using your mouse to arrange them in your preferred order for the route.
You can edit the route pickup point and its details, you just need to click on the Edit button.
To remove a route pickup point, click on the Delete (cross) icon. A confirmation box will appear—simply click OK to confirm the deletion.
And your route pickup point will be successfully deleted.
