About Student Information

The Student Information module in FiN IMS is designed to maintain complete records of every student. It covers details such as student categories, admission, siblings, bank details, and parent/guardian information.

Student Information workflow – First, add Student Categories and Student Houses, then proceed with Student Admission (including Online Admission and Student Details). If you want to include additional fields in the admission form, you can use the Custom Fields feature.

How to check Student Yearly (Session) Attendance in Profile?

To view a student’s attendance, go to Student Information > Student Details. Select the student’s Class, Section, or search by Keyword, then click on Search. A list of students will appear. Click on View in the Action column or directly click the student’s name to open the profile. From the profile, go to the Attendance tab to see the complete yearly attendance (1st to 31st).

How to check Parent Login Credential Report?

Go to Reports > Student Information Report, then click on Parent Login Credential. Select the Class and Section, then click Search. You can view details such as Admission No, Student Name, Parent Username, and Parent Password.

How to Assign Fees during Student Enrollment?

Navigate to Student Information > Online Admission. The student list will open with an Edit icon in the Action column. If the admission fee was not paid during online admission, you need to enroll the student. Click on the Edit icon, confirm by clicking OK in the confirmation modal, and the Student Admission Form will appear where you can assign fees easily.

How to check Class & Section Report?

Go to Reports > Student Information, then click on Class & Section Report. Here, you can see the student list categorized by class and section. To view details, click on the View icon in the Action column. A modal will open displaying information such as Admission No and Student Name.

How to create Student Categories?

Go to Student Information > Student Categories, enter the Category name, and click Save. The newly added category will appear in the list on the right side. To edit, click on the Edit icon, and to delete, click on the Delete icon.

How to add Student House?

Go to Student Information > Student House, enter the House Name and Description, then click Save. The added house will appear in the Student House list on the right. To edit, click the Edit icon, and to delete, click the Delete icon.

How to conduct Student Admissions Offline?

Go to Student Information > Student Admission. Enter the Admission No (you can enable auto-generation from System Settings > General Settings) and Roll Number (Roll Numbers are for reference and managed by the administrator). Roll Numbers are also auto-generated when admit cards are issued from the Exam Module.

How to add Siblings?

You can add multiple siblings by linking them to each other. However, you can only add siblings for students who do not already have siblings added. Example: If you want B as a sibling of A, open A’s profile (ensuring A has no sibling yet), click Edit, and add B as a sibling. Repeat the process to link more students like C or D.

How to Import Students?

Go to Student Information > Student Admission and click on the Import Student button at the top right corner. A new page will open with instructions to create a CSV file. You can add multiple students at once using this CSV format. A sample file can also be downloaded from the top right corner.

How to Online Admission?

Go to Student Information > Online Admission. Make sure the feature is enabled from System Settings > General Settings. The admission form can also be accessed directly from the URL: http://yoursite.com/online_admission. To display it on the website front side, add the link in the menu. Fill in all the required details such as Class, Student Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Mobile, Email, Parent/Guardian details, and upload documents before submitting.

How to view Student Details?

Go to Student Information > Student Details. Select Class and Section or search by Keyword, then click Search. The list of students will appear at the bottom of the page. You can switch between List View and Detailed View. To view individual details, click the Show icon in the Action column.

How to view Disabled Students?

Go to Student Information > Disabled Student, select Class and Section, or search by Keyword, then click Search. The list of disabled students will be displayed. To view a student’s profile, click the Show icon.

How to add Multi-Class Students?

Go to Student Information > Multi Class Student, select Class and Section, and click Search. This feature is useful for training centers or coaching institutes. To add more classes and sections, click Add, to delete click Remove, and to update click Update.
Note – This feature is experimental and not recommended for use with multiple sessions.

How to delete Students in Bulk?

Go to Student Information > Bulk Delete, select Class and Section, and click Search. The list of students will appear. Select one or multiple students, then click Delete to remove them in bulk.

How to add Disable Reason?

Go to Student Information > Disable Reason, enter the Reason Name, and click Save. The reason will appear in the list on the right. To edit, click the Edit icon, and to delete, click the Delete icon.

How to check Student Report?

Go to Reports > Student Information Report and click on Student Report. Select Class, Section, Category, Gender, and RTE, then click Search. You will see student details including Section, Admission No, Student Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, and Gender.

How to check Guardian Report?

Go to Reports > Student Information Report, then click on Guardian Report. Select Class and Section, then click Search. You will see guardian details such as Admission No, Student Name, Mobile Number, Guardian Name, Guardian Relation, and Guardian Phone.

How to check Student History Report?

Go to Reports > Student Information Report and click on Student History. Select Class and Admission Year, then click Search. The report will show Admission No, Student Name, Admission Date, Class (Start-End), and Session (Start-End).

Go to Reports > Student Information Report and click on Student Login Credential. Select Class and Section, then click Search. The report will display details like Admission No, Student Name, Student Username, and Password.

Go to Reports > Student Information Report, then click on Class Subject Report. Select Class and Section, then click Search. The report will show Class, Section, Subject, Teacher, Time, and Room Number.

Go to Reports > Student Information Report, then click on Admission Report. Select the Search Type, then click Search. The report will show details such as Admission No, Student Name, Class, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, and Admission Date.

Go to Reports > Student Information Report, then click on Sibling Report. Select Class and Section, then click Search. The report will display sibling details such as Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Guardian Name, Guardian Phone, and Sibling Student Names.

Go to Reports > Student Information Report, then click on Student Profile. Select Admission Date, Class, and Section, then click Search. The report will show details such as Admission No, Roll No, Class, Section, Name, Gender, Date of Birth, and Category.

How to check Student Gender Ratio Report?

Go to Reports > Student Information Report and click on Student Gender Ratio Report. This report shows the ratio of boys and girls in each class.

How to check Student Teacher Ratio Report?

Go to Reports > Student Information Report, then click on Student Teacher Ratio Report. This report displays the ratio of students to teachers in each class section.
