About ID Auto Generation
ID auto generation means the process of automatically assigning a unique identifier to a record or piece of data. This can be achieved in different ways, such as by using a database’s built-in auto-increment function or by creating a random alphanumeric code. The main goal of an auto-generated ID is to ensure that every record in the database has a distinct identifier, which makes it easier to access and manage the data.
How to manage attendance type?
The Attendance module is developed to make it easy for teachers to record student attendance during class. Frequent absences can make it challenging for both teachers and students to maintain progress and develop skills. The biometric attendance device is used to track daily attendance at FiN IMS, allowing students to check in and check out each day.
How to manage miscellaneous?
Online Examination – Show Only My Questions
To display only your own questions, navigate to System Settings > General Settings. Under the Miscellaneous section, you will find the Show Only My Questions option. Enabling this setting allows a teacher to keep their questions private, so other teachers cannot view them.
How to manage maintenance?
To manage site maintenance, go to System Settings > General Setting > Maintenance. Here, you can enable or disable the maintenance mode. When maintenance mode is disabled, students can log in to their panels as usual.When maintenance mode is enabled and you click the Save button, the student login page will be temporarily inactive and display a Site Under Maintenance message.
How to manage fees settings?
To enable offline bank payments in the student panel, go to System Settings > General Setting > Fees. Here, you can enable or disable the Offline Bank Payment option for students.When Offline Bank Payment is enabled, a tab for offline payment will appear in the student panel, allowing students to pay their fees through offline methods.When Offline Bank Payment is disabled, the offline payment tab will not be visible in the student panel.
How to manage student / guardian panel?
To manage the User Login Option for students and parents, go to System Settings > General Settings, then click on the Student/Guardian Panel. At the top, you will find the User Login Option.Using this option, you can control both student and parent logins. Simply check or uncheck the boxes next to the Student and Parent options.If the Student Login box is checked, students will be able to access their panel. If it is unchecked, student login will be disabled.
How to Register Android Mobile App?
To register the Android mobile app, navigate to System Settings > General Setting > Mobile App. Click on Register Your Android App. A popup window will appear asking for your Envato Market Purchase Code for the Smart School Android App (How to find it?) and the email registered with Envato. After entering the details, click the Save button to complete the registration.
How to manage backend theme?
To change the backend theme, go to System Settings > General Settings > Backend Theme. Here, you will see multiple theme options available such as White, Default, Red, Blue, and Gray. Select your preferred theme and click the Save button.Once you select a theme, it will show as Enabled. After clicking Save, your backend theme will be successfully updated.
How to change login page background?
To update the background of the Admin Login Panel and User Login Panel, go to the side menu and navigate to System Settings > General Settings. In the general settings, you will find the Login Page Background option.
How to Update Logo?
To update the logos, go to System Settings > General Setting > Logo. Here, you can update the Print Logo, Admin Logo, Admin Small Logo, and App Logo.To update a logo, click the Update button located at the bottom right. The Edit Logo modal will open, allowing you to select and upload the image you want to use.
How to manage General Setting?
To access various field settings, go to the side menu and navigate to System Settings > General Settings. Here, you can manage settings like General Setting, Academic Session, Date & Time, Currency, and File Upload Path.In the General Setting section, you can configure school details such as School Name, School Code (affiliation and accreditation number), Address, Phone, and Email.
How to manage Session Setting?
To manage the school academic sessions, go to System Settings > Session Setting. Enter the session details and click the Save button.You can view all added sessions in the Session List on the right side of the page. To edit a session, click the Edit icon, and to delete a session, click the Delete icon in the session list.

To manage notification setting, go to System Setting > Notification Setting. How to manage Email Setting?
To send emails from FiN IMS, you need to configure the Email Setting. Go to System Settings > Email Setting.Currently, two email delivery methods are available: SendMail and SMTP. If you want to send emails using your hosting’s SendMail program, select SendMail. To send emails through an external SMTP server, select SMTP as the email engine.
How to manage Payment Methods Gateway?
To allow students or parents to pay fees online, you must enable at least one payment gateway. Go to System Settings > Payment Methods, select a payment method from the top of the page, enter your payment gateway account details in the required fields, and click the Save button.

To add a print header and footer, go to System Settings > Print Header Footer, then click on Fees Receipt (for students) at the top right corner of the page. Here, you can upload a Header Image and enter the Footer Content, then click the Save button.To remove the header image, hover over it and click the Remove button on the right corner of the page.

How to enable Captcha in FiN IMS?
Captcha stands for “Completely Automated Public Turing-test to tell Computers and Humans Apart”. It is a randomly generated code displayed as an image to automatically protect web form submissions. Captcha ensures that the form is submitted by a human and not by automated programs.
How to Disable System Field?
To manage system fields, go to System Settings > System Field. Here, you can view all enabled fields for students and staff.To disable a system field, click the Toggle button in the Action column. A confirmation prompt will appear; once confirmed, the system field will be disabled and will no longer be visible in the form.
Student Profile Update?
This feature allows students and parents to update student profile details. To grant this access, the Superadmin must log in to FiN IMS. After logging in, go to System Settings > Student Profile Update, enable the Allowed Editable Form Fields, and click the Save button.
How to allowed File/Image type extension?
To manage file and image extensions, go to System Settings > File Type. Enter the Allowed Extensions, Allowed MIME Types, and Upload Size for files and images, then click the Save button.
How to check System Update?
To check the FiN IMS version, log in to the Superadmin panel and go to System Settings > System Update. Here, you can view your current version and update to the latest version if available.
